Fajitas

Fajita sauce:

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • 2 tbsps oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup A-1 steak sauce

Fajitas:

  • 2 tbsps oil
  • 1lb thin-sliced steak or chicken breasts
  • 1 red or orange bell pepper, sliced thinly
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thinly

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, add all fajita sauce ingredients and stir to combine. Set aside.
  2. In a medium skillet, add 1 tbsp of the oil and heat.
  3. Add meat and cook until done, about 6 minutes.
  4. Remove meat and set aside.
  5. Add remaining oil, onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until onion is translucent, about 8 minutes.
  6. Return meat to pan and add fajita sauce.
  7. Cook until fajita sauce is bubbling, stirring frequently.
  8. Remove from heat.
  9. Serve on warm tortillas.
